Lisa Isaribe's story begins with trauma: the death of her parents at the hands of an Infernal, which awakened her Third Generation pyrokinetic abilities via an Infernal Bug. She was recruited by Dr. Giovanni into the Ashen Flame, taking the code name Feeler for her ability to manifest tentacles. Her assignment was to infiltrate the home of Vulcan Joseph, a renowned engineer, under the false identity of Lisa Isaribe, in order to steal the Key to Amaterasu. She successfully maintained this deception until Giovanni decided to retrieve the key personally, at which point she revealed her true allegiance. She then resumed her role as an Ashen Knight. Later, during Company 8's expedition into the Netherworld, Giovanni took her hostage and subsequently abandoned her. After this betrayal, she joined Fire Force Company 8. She eventually overcame her fear of Giovanni and fought alongside Vulcan against him.
